The Fall/Winter Home Comfort Checklist

  • Avoid turning if on and off… and on again:

    • The Temp can seemingly vary wildly. Some days its 50 degrees, the next its 30 degrees, and the day after that, its 80 degrees. For the sake of your wallet, avoid the temptation to turn the system from heat to cool, each day, this can result in elevated energy bills, and can even be detrimental to the system itself!

  • CLEAN, you filthy animal!

    • Fall and Spring cleaning is as American as apple pie and monster trucks! You should be changing your filter often, especially before the seasons change. Think of all those leafs that may have fallen and are currently clogging up your outdoor HVAC component!

  • Have your insulation checked:

    • Everybody needs a best buddy, well, insulation is your HVAC systems best buddy! Everyday we ask our homes to hold in the warm/ cool air our HVAC system is dumping in it! Insulation is the key to success. Just by sealing leaks and adding better insulation, you can lower your utility bills by 20%!

If you think your HVAC system needs repair or replacement, be sure to call a professional HVAC contractor. Not only is your life made better when issues are taken care of in a timely manner, but it also helps save the life of your HVAC system.
